Welcome to Year 6
Welcome to our Year 6 page. We have two classes in Year 6.
6J is Mrs Jones and Miss Coyne and 6W is Mr Willis and Miss Pugh. During Literacy and Numeracy we have a 3rd set which is taught by Mr Griffiths and Miss Walsh.
We work very hard in Year 6 ready for our important tests which are called SATS. Every child in Year 6 across the country takes these tests.
This year they take place from Monday 11th May 2015.
The timetable below is PROVISIONAL (based on the 2014 exams) and will be confirmed to parents during the Spring Term 2015.

Times Tables are to be tested 2/3 times a week. In Year 6 we test all of the times tables up to x12
Homework club is after school on a Tuesday from 3.15 - 4.15.
PE
During the Autumn term we go to Picton Swimming pool on Tuesday Afternoons. All children should take part. If for any reason you cannot please come into school to speak to the Year 6 team.
We also receive football coaching from the LFC coaches and PE lessons from Miss Beaumont our PE teacher. You should have your PE kit in school all week.

We work very hard throughout the year. We also get to go on a variety of trips such as Colomendy, Chester Zoo, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and new this year is a variety of 'launches' which introduce our topic.
