In Year 5 we have three teachers - Mr Taylor, Miss Elliott and Miss Curran. We also have two teaching assistants - Mrs Hollis and Miss McCarthy. We all work together, helping each other as a Year 5 team.
So far in Year 5 we have looked at and covered lots of things. We have had an excellent literacy week looking at a fictional crime scene which prompted a visit from the local press! The children enjoyed the various visitors and analysing a crime scene through different genres of literacy.
Pupils also participated in an exciting 'Pirate' themed enquiry week where we learnt all about the trials and tribulations of 16th-20th Century Pirates.
Parents were invited to be a pupil for the day as Mr Taylor held a literacy workshop which was a great success! Thank you for all those who participated- more to be announced in the near future.
