Hello and welcome to 4H!
In Year 4 we have a fantastic team to support your children. This includes; Miss Hannah, supported by Mrs Cushion and Miss Keegan, supported by Mrs Duffy.
So far this year, we have been exploring 'living things and their habitats', which is our Science topic for the half term; ancient Egyptians in History and water in Geography.
Year 4 is a really vital year for the children's progress and regular reading, alongside learning spelling rules and times-tables, is crucial in improving vocabulary, speed of understanding and knowledge of the world around them. Please do come and ask if you would like any book recommendations! We are currently reading 'Who Let The Gods Out? by Maz Evans as our class read.
To stay up to date with what is happening in school, please check your child's book bag for letters. In addition, you can check the school's website and follow us on twitter: Our Twitter handles are @MissHannahNP1 @lyncushyr4h.
The children are settling in really well and are already tackling some challenging lessons. Thank you to all the parents who came to 'meet the teacher'. If you were unable to make it, please feel free to contact us with any questions. This page will be updated regularly with pictures and information so that you can see what we've been learning in school and to share our adventures!
Attendance and punctuality are vital to your child's progression in school. Lessons start promptly at 9:05 and we follow a two-weekly rotating timetable to ensure that all the children have access to a meaningful and in-depth curriculum. Please see timetable below.
4H have been dissecting owl pellets to discover more about their habitats!
