Girls: Swimming costume, a towel and a swimming cap.
During the Autumn term we are lucky enough to be participating in Basket Ball lessons with Mersey Mavericks. Our P.E lessons are on a Monday afternoon and children must wear black shorts/jogging bottoms, a white t-shirt and black pumps.
Reading. It is so important for your child to read a few pages each night as this has a huge effect on their confidence and progress in all other areas. Where possible, please ensure that your child's reading record is signed on a daily basis as they will be rewarded with dojos for this !
Spellings - On a Tuesday, the children will be given between 10-12 words ranging from the year 5/6 expected words list and words to assist the learning of general spelling rules. The children will be tested on these every Tuesday.
Times tables - It is vital that the children know their time tables as these impact on everything that we do within lessons involving maths. Please ensure that your child practises their times tables regularly as they will be tested every Tuesday.
Project based homework: The children will be given homework based on our topic, this homework will range between a written or art-based project.
Dates for your diary:
