At New Park the children will have the chance to be involved in the promotion of outdoor learning. The Forest School ethos revolves around the children developing life skills that will enrich their literacy, maths, personal, social and emotional skills along with gaining an understanding of the world in which we live. The children learn simple cookery skills through campfires and also problem solve through activities such as den making and working with tools. Forest School is based on the successful teaching styles used in Europe and sessions can be run at school or off site in a local woodland.
